There are many people responsible for the success of our farm, and without their help we would likely not be enjoying life as we are today.

First and foremost, I have my father, Jim McDermit, to thank for instilling the love of farming and animals in me. He is also responsible for teaching me the value of hard work. I love him deeply; this farm is as close as I can get to creating a link to heaven.

Donna and Kat have both been beyond generous with mentoring me in all things sheep and wool. Our flock began with sheep from both of their farms. Robert and Bonnie contribute a good deal to the robust health of our flock. By generously offering us the use of pristine grazing land, we are able to more effectively practice intensive rotational grazing. This in turn improves our flock’s health and minimizes our need for grain, thus keeping our farming practices more sustainable. It also allows us to have a larger flock and provides wide open spaces for training and exercising dogs. Did I mention the gorgeous scenery for taking beautiful photographs? We especially thank Bonnie for all of the excellent farm-sitting she does – taking any time away  would be a challenge without her skilled help.
