This is a blend of our long wool breeds: Romney, Bluefaced Leicester, and Border Leicester. Staple length of the fibers range from 4 to 7 inches. When spun this roving produces a soft, lustrous yarn perfect for knitting a warm, durable cardigan that will likely become a treasured family heirloom.

Our fibers are totally natural and therefore will naturally shrink according to how they are treated. When wool is wet – heat, moisture, agitation and sudden temperature changes can quickly cause felting. If you wish to minimize shrinkage, wash by hand in lukewarm water with a mild wool wash, do not agitate. Rinse in the same temperature and gently spin to remove excess water. Lay flat to dry. With proper care you can enjoy years of pleasure wearing your beautiful handmade garments.
